Record number of early applications to Lincoln UTC

The deadline is at the end of October

Lincoln UTC has already received an unprecedented number of applications for September 2022. Students wishing to join year 10 next year should apply before the initial deadline of October 31 to avoid disappointment.

John Morrison, Principal of Lincoln UTC, said: “The UTC has fewer students and smaller class sizes than most ‘ordinary’ schools. This provides the time and resources for us to get to know each student individually, leads to the development of positive and supportive relationships between students and staff, and creates a close-knit and supportive community.

“For this reason, we only have 120 spaces available in year 10 next September. We welcomed an unprecedented number of prospective students to our recent Open Event and have already received over 70 applications at this early stage.

“It does look as though we will be over-subscribed next year and, sadly, we may have to turn some students away. If you would like your child to join us in year 10 next year, we would highly recommend completing our online application prior to the initial deadline of October 31st.

“We are also accepting applications for year 12 and have limited places available for our brand new T Level in engineering. This course will expand our Post-16 option choices, which already include a range of STEM-based A Levels and a Level 3 BTEC in engineering.”

The UTC will host its next Open Event on Monday 11th October from 5-7pm. To sign up for the event visit this event sign-up website. To book a personal tour during the week email [email protected] or call 01522 775990.
