New manager hoping to lift Boston care home out of special measures

An inspection was held just days after a new manager came in

A care home near Boston has said new, experienced management will help turn things around after the CQC placed it under special measures – but argues that circumstances around the timing of the inspection were “unfair”.

Meadows Edge Care Home in Wyberton, on the edge of Boston, came under scrutiny after a recent CQC inspection deemed the home ‘Inadequate’ – a drop from the previous three ratings of ‘Requires Improvement’ by inspectors.
