Lincolnshire steps up: 25 homes secured for Afghan refugee families

Two councils helping those fleeing war-torn countries

Two Lincolnshire councils have joined forces with the government to buy 25 local homes that will be used to house legally processed Afghan refugees fleeing the Taliban takeover of the nation.

Ever since the 2021 takeover of Afghanistan at the hands of the Taliban, councils across Lincolnshire have joined the wider national government efforts to support and resettle Afghan families fleeing persecution and conflict.
