Grimsby extremist sent back to jail for phone use after terrorism conviction

Nathan Worrell also admitted possessing racially inflammatory material

A 50-year-old man from Grimsby, Nathan Worrell, has been handed a six-year prison sentence following a breach of his terrorist notification requirements. The sentence, passed down at Sheffield Crown Court, also includes an additional year on licence.

Worrell was arrested and charged in December 2022 after he failed to disclose his use of a phone, SIM card, and email addresses to the police. In July 2023, he admitted to five breaches of his Part 4 Notification requirements under section 44 of the Counter-Terrorism Act 2008.
