Uphill business community rallying together to keep Lincoln Christmas spirit alive

Plans include late openings, live music and a mini-market

In the face of adversity, Lincoln’s uphill local business sector is keeping spirits, especially Christmas spirits, high by coming together for collective plans to bring footfall into the area in the absence of the city’s Christmas Market.

The decision to cancel Lincoln’s famous Christmas Market after 40 years proved to be a highly controversial one, not least because of the knock-on effect it could have on local businesses in the uphill area of the city where the market was traditionally placed.
