Police close Spalding street after man found injured

The road will be closed for some time

A injured man has been taken to hospital after an “incident” in Spalding on Thursday morning.

A street in the town has been closed as a result.

Lincolnshire Police closed Broad Street in Spalding for “the foreseeable future”, although at the time of writing the nature of what has happened remains unclear.

The street is closed from the junction with New Road so the force is advising people to use alternative roads. It is closed from New Road to Herring Lane.

Lincolnshire Police said: “A man has been found in the location with injuries and has been taken to hospital.

“We are investigating the circumstances and will update when we are able to.”

Police were unable to confirm how long the road closure would be in place or how the man became injured.
