New Lincoln choir debuts on city’s streets

All for one: A new local choir group has made its first public appearance in Lincoln, entertaining people on the city’s streets.

A new local choir group has made its first public appearance in Lincoln, singing Jessie J’s Price Tag song to people in the city in Castle Square and High Street.

All For One Choir have recently expanded to Lincoln and Lincolnshire and have planned a series of pop up performances around the city centre for all to enjoy.

The organisation has stemmed from the Yorkshire based community group encouraging people of all ages and abilities to ‘give singing a try’. There are no auditions and the ability to read music is not a necessity.

The Lincoln All For One Choir had its first meeting on September 5 and has since entertained audiences at popular city destinations.

The choir is run by experienced local choir leader Claire Inman. Setting off to a popular start, the group now has over 30 members with more taster sessions and performances in the pipeline.

Claire said: “I am thrilled to be joining the All For One team and hoping the people of Lincoln will come and give singing a try, even if its for the first time.

“I am passionate about seeing the changes in communities and individuals and look forward to seeing amazing things happen through our exciting brand new fun choir.”

The Choir will be getting involved in projects and fundraising activities for local charities. “This all adds to the feel good factor of singing for wellbeing and fun,” said Claire.

The Lincoln Choir are looking forward to many forthcoming events including a performance in the Waterside Shopping Centre over the Christmas period.

All For One choir also take bookings for charity events.
