The third day of Lincoln’s annual steampunk festival, The Asylum, has been taking place across the city today.

The world’s largest and longest running steampunk festival treated people to a plethora of events including The Queens parade and a steampunk superhero assembly on Sunday, August 28.

The festival began on Friday and will end on Monday, August 29.

Lincoln is hosting the world’s largest and longest running Steampunk festival this weekend.

The event runs through the Bank Holiday weekend and celebrates a steam powered world in the late-Victorian era.

Thousands of steampunks visit the city each year, dressing up their Victorian-inspired outfits with brass goggles and other eye-catching, futuristic accessories.

A range of events are taking place at Lincoln Castle and around the Cathedral. where we went today to capture some of the action.
