Elton John will perform in Lincoln for the first time on June 10, 2016 at the Lincolnshire Showground.

Tickets will go on sale on October 23 on TicketMaster as part of Elton’s Wonderful Crazy Tour next June across the country.

As part of these dates, he will perform in Lincolnshire for the first time with his band since 1973, when he played Boston’s Starlight Rooms.

There will be space for 15,000 people at the event, which will be held in a specially-built temporary outdoor seated arena at the showground.

Elton John said: “Lincoln is an important stop on this tour – my life long writing partner, Bernie Taupin, grew up very close to Lincoln so it’s a sort of homecoming, and one that is long overdue. I hope to see you all there.“

Jayne Southall, CEO of the Lincolnshire Showground, said:

“We are absolutely delighted that Sir Elton John has chosen Lincoln and the Lincolnshire Showground to host his concert. This is fantastic news both for the Showground and Lincolnshire”.

Tickets will be available from 10am on October 23 both online and via the 24 hour hotline 0844 847 2441, 08448 24 48 24.
