The season of love is back, and Lincoln is all set for the return of some romantic selfie props next month.

Just like last year, Lincoln BIG will be re-planting some of the fun photo frames back in the streets of Lincoln between February 10 and 18.

Lincoln Business Improvement Group’s (BIG) wardens will be putting out five large metal hearts which can be used by the people of Lincoln as photo frames.

To make it a challenge, Lincoln BIG is leaving the locations of the hearts a mystery.

“We are keeping the exact locations a secret, but everyone is being urged to find and follow the love trail around the city and track down the five sculptures, some of which will be in different locations to last year,” said Michael Armstrong, Lincoln BIG Events and Promotions Manager.

This year, the business group is using the hashtag ‘#LoveLincoln’.

People can upload their selfies and clicks with the metal hearts and post it on Twitter and Instagram with a special message and the hashtag.

“The hearts proved really popular last year, so we decided to bring them out again and encourage people to get snapping,” added Michael.

In the season of love, heart-shaped photo frames is simply like a cherry on the cake.

Stand-up comedian and actor Reginald D Hunter was awarded an honorary doctor of arts degree at the graduation ceremony of University of Lincoln.

A regular to United Kingdom, he has been to Lincoln city before and has also performed at The Engine Shed. “You turn around and there is something big and huge, all tall standing there.
