A takeaway in Cleethorpes and a shop in Grimsby are celebrating leaping from ‘one’ star hygiene ratings to much-improved scores.

Chicago Burger on the High Street, was previously visited by North East Lincolnshire Council on November 15, 2022 and given a food hygiene rating of ‘one’ star.

An Indian takeaway in Grimsby apologised for “dropping below standard” after being hit with a ‘zero’ star food hygiene rating — but he is confident the new management team will bring it back to its former glory.

Moghul Empire, which is located at Hampton House on Wellowgate, was inspected by North East Lincolnshire Council on December 19, 2023. Its latest rating was recently published on the Food Standards Agency website, and the owner is confident of a much higher score at the next inspection.
