Over two decades in jail for Skegness rapist

A Skegness man has been sentenced to 24 years in prison after being found guilty of a series of historical rapes against young girls in Coventry.

In May 2020, a complaint of historical sexual abuse was made against David Cockerill which then prompted others to bravely come forward.

Four people were injured in a crash near Lincoln which saw a road closure put in place for around six hours on Wednesday.

The collision between the junction of the B1188 and the B1178 was reported to Lincolnshire Police at 1.59pm on January 31, 2024.
