A pedestrian in his 70s who was hit by a car on a service road off Wingate Road in Grimsby at the weekend has died in hospital.

The incident involved a red Suzuki Swift car. It happened at around 11.40pm on Saturday, December 28.

The man became trapped underneath the car and was freed by Humberside Fire and Rescue service and taken to hospital.

He then passed away on the morning of Monday, December 30.

His family is aware and are being supported by officers. Police said they are not in a position to release his name at this time.

Humberside Police are still appealing for any witnesses to this incident to come forward, or anyone who might have seen the man.

A young woman has died after a three car crash near Bourne on Friday evening.

It happened on Lound Road, Toft near Bourne about 5.50pm on December 27.

Three cars were involved in the crash: a grey BMW, a black Fiat Punto and a white Nissan Juke.

The driver of the Fiat, a woman in her twenties was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 25-year-old man driving the BMW was taken to Peterborough Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the Nissan was not injured.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who was in the area around the time of the crash and saw any of the cars before the collision, saw the crash itself, or believe they may have dash cam footage to call police on 101 quoting incident 322 of December 27.
