The former Ribs ‘n’ Bibs restaurant on the Strait in Lincoln has been turned by its owners into Meat Inc, a burger house and bar.

If you’re familiar with the name, it’s because the first Meat Inc. opened on Caenby Corner just north of Lincoln on the A15 in 2016.

The owners invested some £10,000 to revamp the place and all staff from Ribs ‘n’ Bibs restaurant managed to keep their jobs.

Charles Patrick, Co-Owner of Meat Inc, told Lincolnshire Business: “Our medium term plan for ‘Meat Inc.’ is to acquire a couple more sites in the region with a view to potentially franchising the concept, dependent on its success.”

More than 300 people attended the first ever Visit Expo at the Lincolnshire Showground on March 14, an event to showcase the visitor economy industry across the county.

Organised by Visit Lincoln and Stonebow Media, the organisers of the largest B2B exhibition in the region Lincolnshire Business Expo, the first expo included:

• 300 attendees
• 23 exhibitors
• 12 speakers
• 11 talks

Visit Expo 2018 helped bring together businesses from across the Greater Lincolnshire region to network, grow connections, inform their business strategy and better educate themselves on the ongoing support mechanisms that are available across 2018/19.

The event include a leaflet and brochure swap, a B2B exhibition zone for businesses looking to promote their products and services to the visitor economy industry and a seminar zone, where a range of talks and advice sessions took place throughout the day.
