A man in his 20s has sadly died after being hit by a train between Newark Northgate and Lincoln on Monday morning.

British Transport Police officers were called to Newark Northgate railway station at around 11.40am on Monday, February 19 after reports of a casualty on the tracks.

Five boys have been arrested as detectives continue to investigate an alleged sexual assault of a teenage girl in Newark.
