Sneak-in burglary prompts police warning to Lincoln students

Police warning: Police are reminding residents to keep doors locked at night to stop sneak-in burglaries.

Lincolnshire Police is warning students to not leave doors unlocked for housemates at night.

The warning comes after a burglary on Charles Street West between 2am and midday on March 22.

The back door had been left open so a housemate could return later that night. However, an offender went through the door and stole an Apple computer and a Kodak camera.

Police are also reminding residents to lock windows and doors at night, in order to deter sneak-in burglars.
