Leaving the Lincolnshire Show or coming back tomorrow. Be aware of the traffic arrangements around the event.

Lincolnshire Show traffic diversions

A15 from Lincoln to Caenby Corner is closed to through-traffic and used as access to the show only.

In the mornings, there are two lanes flowing northbound off the bypass into the showground. In the afternoons, this is reversed to allow traffic to flow southwards towards the bypass.

From Caenby Corner, the A15 south-bound is used for show traffic only and all other traffic is diverted via the A631 and the A46.

The left lane of the dual carriageway on the approach to Riseholme roundabout is coned off for show traffic only. The other lane is for all other traffic.

There is also manual traffic control by an accredited traffic management company on various roundabouts to maintain traffic flow as much as possible and minimise queuing.

The A1500, between the B1398 and the A15, is closed and traffic is managed within this section. Both lanes are used for inbound traffic in the morning and reversed in the afternoon.

There is also a set of manually-controlled temporary traffic signals on the B1398 to allow entrance to the showground at that point, and maintain the flow of through traffic.

That’s it for day one of the Lincolnshire Show, but check back tomorrow morning for day two of all the action!
