In pictures: Solar eclipse in Lincoln

People in Lincoln spilled out onto the city streets in order to watch the partial solar eclipse of March 20, 2015.

Millions of people in the UK and Europe were plunged into darkness as the moon separated the earth and the sun.

In all parts of the UK, the eclipse reached at least 83% of coverage.

Those who observed the event watched through innovative devises such as pinhole projections, and filters.
