Fifty Lincoln fashionistas visited London Fashion Week Festival to gather inspiration and ideas ahead of Lincoln Fashion Week 2017.

Retailers, buyers, stylists, and University of Lincoln fashion and media students visited London on Friday, February 24 to catch the action at The Store Studios in The Strand for the London Fashion Week Festival.

The group, alongside Lincoln Fashion Week organisers Lincoln BIG, looked at the latest looks and trends ahead of Lincoln Fashion Week on April 28 – May 5.

The group went to the London Fashion Week Festival on Friday, February 24

In addition to the pop-up “shops”, the group looked at photographic booths, a Toni & Guy mini salon, a range of sunglasses, a make-up studio and nail technicians at the London Fashion Week Festival.

There was also a professional catwalk show, presented by TV star, chef and author Laura Jackson, which featured the latest trends from top designers.

Chanelle Harrington, a Lincoln Fashion Week 2017 model said: “We had a fantastic time and have come back with lots of ideas and inspiration for our own Lincoln Fashion Week.”

Roman Manager Jessica Oates added: “It has been a brilliant experience and it was nice to meet so many different people, from different backgrounds. The clothes were all unique and there were lots of funky designs.

Lincoln Head of Fashion Week Jess Wickham said: “It was a really brilliant.

“We’re now raring to go and determined to make the second Lincoln Fashion Week an outstanding and memorable event for the city and its visitors.”

Lincoln BIG Events & Promotions Manager Michael Armstrong added: “We took Lincoln Fashion Week banners with us, to make more people aware of our event.”
