Hawkwind to land at the Engine Shed

Space Rock: Sci-fi rock band Hawkwind will be sending you into orbit this December.

Established English rock band Hawkwind has announced plans to play at Lincoln’s Engine Shed this winter, on December 6th. The space rock band, whose lyrics are said to have a distinct science-fiction theme, was established during the late sixties.

Since their 1969 formation, the band has seen various members come and go, but founder Dave Brock is still at the helm and will be leading the band’s performance here in Lincoln. Joining Dave Brock on stage will be drummer Richard Chadwick. Other Hawkwind members include recent additions Tim Blake, Niall Hone and Mr Dibs, playing synth, guitar and bass respectively.

The far-out band will be arriving in Lincoln for a unique pre-Christmas spectacular, which promises dancers, a light show and music from their rich 40-year history. Doors open at 7pm on Monday, December 6th, and tickets for the event are on sale now priced at £20 each.
