Older cyclists to get ‘Easy Ride’

Easy ride: Over 45s are invited at the Whisby Nature Park near Lincoln to get healthy and exercise in the morning.

The Whisby Nature Park near Lincoln will host an event for over 45s looking to get active starting Friday, June 25th. Called Easy Ride, the event is part of Team Green Britain Bike Week running from Saturday 19th to Sunday 27th June.

“The Lincolnshire Sports Partnership has organised this bike ride to raise awareness of the National Team Green Britain Bike Week, and encourage more people to bike; whether that’s a bike ride like this, or just to work in the morning,” said Lorraine Elston, the Lincolnshire Sports Partnership’s Over 45s Activator.

“The ride itself is aimed at those aged over 45, so it will be an easy ride and suitable for adult beginners. It’s free to take part and we’re encouraging anyone who is interested to just turn up on the day and have a go,” Elston added.

Easy Ride starts at 9.30am on Friday, June 25th at the Whisby Nature Park.
