Chinese Circus returns to South Lincoln

Ring leaders: The Chinese Circus is back, with all the best stunts, dances and fights as always.

The annual Chinese Circus is back, promising the usual jaw-dropping stunts and incredible acrobatics.

The big top circus can be found at the South Common near St. Catherine’s roundabout from October 6-10.

In five days, expect to see acrobatics, Shaolin martial arts, physical theatre and drama choreographed to original music, Chinese dragons and Peking Opera.

The Shaolin martial arts is performed by warriors who actually studied at the Shaolin Temple.

All the above is centred around the circus’ own take on classic Chinese tale Mulan, the story of girl who joined an all-male army to save the nation.

Mulan is played for the first time by Kung Fu expert, Cao Jing. Her 15 years of martial arts training will be put to the test against a giant warrior.

The shows start at 5pm and 7.45pm Wednesday to Saturday, and 3pm on Sunday. Tickets start at £7 and can be purchased online.
