City company wins international film award

Lasting impression: A Lincoln film company have won a prestigious international short film award in San Francisco.

Lincoln-based film company Blueprint Film have won a prestigious international film award for their short, Scent

The company won the Grand Jury Prize at the San Francisco International Festival of Short Films, which had over 1200 entries from over 30 different countries this year.

Scent, funded by the UK Film Concil and Screen Yorkshire, follows the tale of John, an old man trying to get over the death of his wife Patricia.

Unable to deal with the loss, John secretly keeps his wife at home in his bed. The film observes a mix of different emotions throughout.

The film’s win is one of many this year, following screenings at Bradford International Short Film Festival and Glimmer Festival in Hull.
