Educating young drivers through theatre

Fresh talent: A theatre play will try to promote safe driving among young drivers in Lincoln.

Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership are launching a new theatre production promoting safe driving, aimed at young motorists.

The programme, called 2Fast2Soon, teaches road safety education as well as a driver training programme for drivers aged between 17 and 24.

Young male drivers are the highest risk in the UK. On average, 3000 people die per year following traffic collisions.

The hope is that there will be less youngsters killed and injured on Lincolnshire roads, as they currently make up 33% of UK casualty rates.

The launch will be held at the Drill Hall on September 28 (two shows) and 29, followed by sessions at the Terry O’Toole Theatre on November 8 and 9, all at 1pm.
