Woman shocks shoppers with checkout gymnastics

Stunned: A woman who put her leg on the counter in a High Street shop shocked customers watching the show.

A mystery woman brought entertainment to a High Street checkout on Wednesday, showing her flexibility with a daring stunt inside Topshop in Lincoln.

Eyewitness Adam Faux (20), from Nettleham, found the show hilarious with his Christmas shopping experience brightened up:

“I was waiting in line with my friend when all of a sudden we spotted this woman with her leg on the counter.

“My friend pointed out that she looked like she had three legs, with two shoes still on the floor popping out of her coat.”

Faux was so impressed with the act that he felt compelled to take a picture, thinking this could be a new craze.

“I would like to see other people’s efforts to try to top this.

“I think people should take on the competition to see what moves they can pull at the checkout as it would definitely cheer shoppers up as this made my day,” he added.

The Topshop employee who served the woman discovered the true reason behind her foot being on the counter.

She said: “The woman explained to me that she was in slight pain having had an operation on her leg. She said she was ok but just needed to elevate it.”

The member of staff managed to maintain her professionalism, offering the woman a chair in case she needed to have a sit down and rest.
