New location for sexual health clinic

New start: A busy hospital clinic is being moved closer to Lincoln’s city centre.

Lincoln County Hospital’s busy Clinic 10 will be moving to a new property in the city this month.

The clinic for sexual health will move permanently out of the hospital from January 24 and take up residence in Lindon House on Dixon Street.

Also known as Lincolnshire Community Health Services (LCHS), the service will provide drop in sessions and sexual and contraceptive health advice, by appointment.

People can also get diagnosis and treatment of STIs, HIV testing, Hepatitis B vaccinations, emergency contraception and referral to other services.

Unlike the hospital, parking is free at the property, as well as a nearby bus stop to and from the city centre.

Clinical Team Leader for LCHS Liz Ball said: “Lindon House is an ideal location for our Genito Urinary Services.

“We will continue to treat anybody who has had unprotected sex and is worried that they might have come into contact with a sexually transmitted infection.

“We can offer patients an appointment within 48 hours, just call the central booking line on 01522 539145 to schedule an appointment.”

For those aged between 15 and 24, Chlamydia self-testing kits can be ordered from Do You Have It?.
