Lincolnshire Sports Partnership will bring back their family sports day for children with disabilities next week.
Funded by Short Breaks and Lincolnshire County Council, there will be seven of the fun days throughout the half-term across the county.
One of these activity days will take place in Lincoln at Yarborough Leisure Centre on February 23.
Families can choose between sports such as wheelchair basketball, new age kurling, boccia, football, rounders, badminton, Wii Sports, hockey, powerchair football and swimming.
Equality and Diversity Officer Ian Brown said: “The family sports days have been organised due to the demand for inclusive sports activities in school holidays.
“We hope to encourage children with a disability to take part in sport and physical activity in a comfortable and friendly environment.”
The fun day begins at 10am and costs £10 per family (two adults two children), though if you “Refer a Friend” you will be able to attend a future day for free.
Other family sports days will be organised in Long Sutton, Sleaford, Gainsborough, Boston, Louth and Grantham.
Sports will vary at each location during the seven days. Booking is essential, so call Charlotte Childs on 01522 585580 or email her.
