The Artists’ Market in Lincoln will return next month, switching location from the foot of Steep Hill to St Mark’s Square, closer to the city centre.
The first of the markets will take place at St Mark’s on Easter Sunday, April 24 and on May 29, June 26, July 24 and September 25. There will be no August event.
Lincoln photographer Adam Winfield is the new co-ordinator of the market, backed by Lincoln BIG:
“Lots of different people regularly traded at the monthly Artists’ Markets last year, and this year we’d like to feature at least a dozen or so, who offer different things.
“The market traditionally offers handmade glass products, jewellery, paintings and photography, but it would be good to get other artists involved, such as sculptors.
This year, a programme of busking to entertain shoppers and browsers will also be part of the Artists’ Market.
Stands costs £25 a day or £20 per day, for artists who book for three or more dates.
