Crash: A police car has injured a man on a bike on Carholme Road.

The 28-year-old man involved in the incident, identified as Matthew David Tuffin, has been pronounced dead at Lincoln County Hospital. Full Story

Police say the incident took place at 10.08pm on March 27, confirming a cyclist was in collision with a police car.

The cyclist is a 28-year-old man and he is being treated for his injuries, which have been described as serious.

As a matter of course, the IPCC has been notified and enquiries are ongoing.

A man who was riding a bike has been injured by a police car on Carholme Road, according to eyewitness reports.

The incident happened at around 10.20pm on Sunday, March 27, between Hewson Road and Nelson Street.

Gresham Street and Carholme Road are currently cordoned off, with traffic being diverted through the West End.

The man’s condition is unknown at this stage.

A total of seven police vehicles and an ambulance attended the scene.

Carholme Road is closed to traffic and police advise it will remain closed for the next few hours.
