Hundreds in Lincoln without electricity

Blackout: Almost 1,000 E-on customers in Lincoln are experiencing power outages in the LN1, LN2 4, LN4, LN4 4 areas of the city.

Almost 1,000 E-on customers in Lincoln are experiencing power outages in the LN1, LN2 4, LN4, LN4 4 areas of the city.

A fault affecting the high voltage network on Outer Circle Road started the problem just after 3pm on April 15.

Over 920 properties are currently without electricity.

E-on says engineers have been dispatched to the site, and should be there by 4pm. It is unknown how long the blackout will last.

The fault seems to have affected areas as far as Wragby Road, where traffic signals are not in operation and traffic queues are building up.

Other reports say the power cut extended all around Wragby Road area and Bunkers Hill.

— Update at 4.05pm: Power is slowly being restored in Lincoln, with only 153 properties affected.

— Update at 4.20pm: Number of properties affected went up to 270.

— Update at 4:50pm: Number for properties affected down to 151.
