Man robbed and hit with own shoe

Vicious attack: Two men approached a man on a bench to steal his mobile phone, hitting the victim who chased them.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was robbed of his phone on April 2.

The incident happened at around 3.30pm when a 26-year-old man was sitting on a bench along Rosemary Lane, Lincoln.

He was approached by two men, one of which asked to use his phone, a touchscreen black Sony Ericsson. The other man then snatched it from him.

The offender ran off towards Monks Road, but the victim gave chase. He was tripped up and his trainer fell off. The offender took the shoe and hit him with it.

One offender is described as a white male aged 20-24, wearing a dark jacket and dark trousers. The other wore a white jacket and dark trousers.
