Free shooting in Lincoln’s Quest for Gold

Gold Challenge Lincoln Target Shooting Club are offering a free shooting session, part of an Olympics campaign.

Lincolnshire Sports Partnership’s Olympic campaign Quest for Gold reaches Lincoln Target Shooting Club, who are offering a free session this weekend for members.

The session on Saturday, June 11, is one of many in the upcoming months, and Quest for Gold is all about trying a variety of sports out and taking part in new experiences.

This has inspired Lincolnshire’s Quest for Gold, which is running alongside a national programme called Gold Challenge, aiming to get as many people as possible trying out a variety of Olympic sports .

To join Quest for Gold there is an initial payment of £5, but after that almost all of the Olympic and Paralympic sports session will be free to attend for the next 15 months.

Hanya Pielichaty is the 2012 Legacy Coordinator at Lincolnshire Sports Partnership, who thinks the initiative is “an exciting opportunity for people to take part in sports they have perhaps never tried before, such as shooting”.

To attend the free shooting session on Saturday June 11 at 10.30 to 12.30, you can sign up to Quest for Gold.
