A shopping day at Washingborough Hall Country House Hotel has raised £500 for the Breast Unit at Lincoln County Hospital.

Over 100 ladies went to day, which included offers from The Grange Spa, Lulu, Sophie Allport and Attica Design.

There was also a three course canape lunch and a raffle which was drawn by Senior Breast Care Nurse Beth Croft.

The day was organised by Lucy Herring, owner of Washingborough Hall and Marketing, and Communications Consultant Debbie Newman.

Herring said the day “was a fantastic opportunity for ladies to come and enjoy themselves”.

She added: “Lots of women are affected by breast cancer, or know someone who has been affected, so this was a great opportunity to raise money to support our regional breast care unit.”

Macmillan Breast Care Nurse Specialist, Andrea Dean at Lincoln County Hospital said the money donated will be used to improve patient care and to buy pieces of equipment for the unit.

Dean said: “We would like to say thank you to Washingborough Hall for arranging the day.”
