Police renew appeal over Riseholme Lane fatal crash

Renewed appeal: Police are seeking a motorcyclist who could help in the case of a fatal crash near Lincoln in July.

Lincolnshire Police have renewed their appeal for information on the four week anniversary of a fatal crash on Riseholme Lane.

This single vehicle crash took place at around 7.25am on July 20, on Riseholme Lane, Lincoln, when a silver Vauxhall Corsa left the road and collided with a tree.

A local woman driver was alone the car, and was freed from the vehicle by the Fire and Rescue Service, then taken to Lincoln County hospital.

The woman has been certified as deceased at the hospital, and named as Susan Edmunds, 48, of Dunholme, near Lincoln. She was an employee at Lincolnshire County Council.

Police believe that a motorcyclist, travelling on the lane from the A46 towards the A15 at about 07.20am, could be a potential witness and are appealing for this person to get in touch.

Any other witnesses who saw the Silver Vauxhall Corsa near to the time of the collision are urged to contact the police to assist with the investigation into the cause of the collision.
