Digital conference returns to Lincoln in 2012

Media matters: The LincUpLive conference returns to Lincoln in 2012, allowing local businesses to hear from digital thought-leaders.

Digital media conference Linc Up Live is set to return to Lincoln next year.

The social media gathering, which debuted at The Showroom earlier this month, is mounting a second conference in February of 2012.

A total of 83 delegates attended the first Linc Up Live conference, held on Friday, September 9, which saw speakers from The Telegraph, Rovio Mobile and more.

Linc Up Live founder Celia Lacy detailed that feedback received from those that attended is said to have been positive:

“We are tremendously pleased with the level of compliments received from those that attended the [first] conference.

“We’ve received numerous messages from businesses that did not make it along this time – but now wished they had.”

The second Linc Up Live conference will take place on Friday, February 24, 2012, with speakers for the event already being organised.

The line-up for the springtime conference already features Joanne Jacobs, who delivered a keynote at the first Linc Up Live event, and Richard Crompton, Chief Constable of Lincolnshire Police who will be talking about how social media is being used within Lincolnshire Police force.

Celia Lacy added that the “success of Linc Up Live 2011 has established the city of Lincoln as both a ‘one to watch’ on the digital map, and as a friendly, characterful location for business and leisure.”

Tickets for 2012 event are available now via the Linc Up Live Facebook page.
