University hosts international lacrosse match

Play offs: The under 19 UK lacrosse team will be taking on a US team in Lincoln this weekend.

A Lacrosse match between England and the USA will be taking place this weekend at the University of Lincoln.

England’s under 19s team will be taking on the US team on October 9 at 2pm at the university’s Sports Centre.

As previously reported, the team recently used the university facilities to take part in a performance camp in the run up to the Olympics.

Dave Carter, Facilities Manager at Lincolnshire Active Community Network said: “The England Under 19 Lacrosse team used facilities at the university in August for a performance camp which showcased the fantastic facilities we have on offer in our country.

“This weekend, they will return for an exhibition match against USA, and offer the chance for people to have a go and talk to some of the game’s most exciting players.”

During half time, spectators can use the equipment, talk to players, and have a go at passing and receiving the ball.

The match is free to attend, and will run until 4.30pm.
