Lincoln Business Club raise £900 for Movember

Mo Bros: Eleven members of the Lincoln Business Club managed to raise more than £900 for male cancer charities.

Members of Lincoln Business Club managed to raise more than £900 for men’s health charities by growing facial hair during November.

In October the club decided to take part in the annual Movember campaign to help raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men.

Eleven members volunteered to join the Lincoln Business Club Movember team and between them they have raised £923.

The funds raised in the UK support the number one and two male-specific cancers – prostate and testicular cancer.

The money is directed to programmes run directly by Movember and their men’s health partners, The Prostate Cancer Charity and the Institute of Cancer Research.

Lincoln Business Club Chairman Richard Hare said: “We’re always keen to take part in fundraising activities such as Movember and are very grateful to our members who support us either by taking part or making a donation.

“This is the first year the club has taken part in Movember and I’m delighted that we’ve managed to raise such a fantastic sum of money.”

Since its beginnings in Australia, Movember has grown to become a global movement inspiring more than 1.1 million Mo Bros and Mo Sistas to participate.

Campaigns take place in Australia, New Zealand, the US, Canada, the UK, Finland, the Netherlands, Spain, South Africa and Ireland.
