Prince Charles and Camilla to tour Lincoln Cathedral

Royal visit: Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall will visit Lincoln Cathedral later this month.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, Charles and Camilla, will be in Lincoln on November 29 to venture to the top of Lincoln Cathedral.

Taking a lift to the top of the scaffolding on the South-West Turret of the cathedral, Their Royal Highnesses will view the newly-conserved statue of St Hugh and the major conservation work undertaken on the turret.

The Prince will also meet apprentices at the Cathedral who are participants in The Prince’s Foundation for the Built Environment apprenticeship programme.

Dean of Lincoln, the Very Reverend Philip Buckler, will welcome Their Royal Highnesses, is looking forward to the visit.

He said: “We are thrilled to welcome the Prince of Wales once again, and to welcome The Duchess of Cornwall on her first official visit to the Cathedral.”

The royals will also meet crafts men and women involved in masonry, glazing, lead-work and carpentry from the Cathedral works department.
