Death of man hit by train in Lincoln ‘not suspicious’

No suspicion: Police have decided not to deem a fatal incident on a Lincoln train line as suspicious.

The death of a man hit by a train on Saturday evening in Lincoln is deemed not suspicious by British Transport Police.

The driver of a Leicester to Lincoln service reported hitting a person in the Skewbridge area, near Tritton Road, at around 6.20pm on January 28.

British Transport Police, Lincolnshire Police and ambulance services, attended the scene and deemed the incident not suspicious.

The line was cleared by 8.30pm and services resumed after seven trains were cancelled, eight part cancelled, and five others delayed.
