A Lincolnshire Police PCSO is warning Lincoln residents to take extra precautions after a garage burglary on January 3.
The burglary took place on Atwater Grove in Glebe Park, in the early hours of the morning.
Offenders broke into the garage from the bottom of the door, after using a screwdriver to turn the lock. A large toolbox is missing.
The victim said they heard a noise around 2am, but thought it might just be wind.
PSCO McCusker is urging residents to be vigilant and if anyone sees any suspicious activity, they should call Lincolnshire police.
He also recommends residents purchase a garage alarm, which are available in various shops and online for around £15.
These alarms contain a motion detector, and will activate a sire up to 90 decibel when motion’s detected.
“It could be you next so, please do not ignore this warning, take positive action and prevent yourself becoming the next victim,” McCusker added.
