A staff nurse has become the first person to move into the new Oasis housing development off Carholme Road.
Rachel Green bought the two bedroom house, one of the first of the 255 buildings to be completed, after moving out of her parents’ house in Newark.
The two bedroom house is part of the first phase of the development to entice first-time buyers like Green, pricing homes between £125,000 to £160,000.
She said: “I had seen the Oasis development on my travels to and from work at the Lincoln Hospital where I had recently started my new job, and was attracted to the location because of easy access to the A46.
“I’m really pleased with my new home, and the best feature has to be the amount of space and the large size of all the rooms.”
Green bought her new house through Linden Homes, who also offer a shared equity incentive.
Although the Oasis development is still ongoing, there are two to four bedroom houses currently available to buy now, ranging from £125,000 to £205,000.
