Lincoln nursery receives good Ofsted report

Great report: A Lincolnshire YMCA nursery in the city just received a positive response from Ofsted after an inspection.

A Lincoln nursery run by Lincolnshire YMCA received Good marks in their Ofsted report.

Woodlands nursery on Woodfield Avenue was described as a “welcoming and inclusive environment” during a recent inspection.

The nursery was set up in 2006 alongside the infant school, and serves the Birchwood community. It has three play rooms and a secure outdoor play area.

Ofsted described it as a “stimulating and well-resourced environment” where children are “engaged in play and enjoy their time at the setting”.

Childcare Manager Carly Shaw said: “Myself and all the staff team at Woodlands are extremely proud and pleased with the outcome of the Ofsted report.

“We feel it reflects well the quality of care that we provide to the children and their families within our care.

Mark Hills, deputy CEO at Lincolnshire YMCA, added: “Lincolnshire YMCA is very pleased with the excellent work undertaken by all staff at YMCA Woodlands day-care.

“The positive review from the most recent Ofsted inspection is a testament to the hard work of Carly and her team.”
