Co-op opens new Lincoln petrol station and shop

More pumps: Travellers in the north of Lincoln will have a new petrol station to fill up at before their journeys.

Lincolnshire Co-operative opened a new petrol station and shop in Lincoln.

Riseholme Road Filling Station, providing fuel from Texaco, cost £750,000 to revamp and created 12 new jobs.

The original station shop was demolished to make way for a bigger store, selling more groceries and Local Choice range.

The station will be open from 7am until 10pm, seven days a week. There is also a large car park for people just wanting to use the shop and not the pumps.

The work was undertaken by local contractors Maher Millard Construction.

Store Development Manager Matthew Wilkinson said: “As a co-operative, one of the ways we share our profits with our members is to invest in new and improved services, like this project at Riseholme Road Filling Station.

“The extended shop now stocks a larger range of products, including alcohol, chilled and frozen convenience foods, fresh bread and fruit and vegetables.

“It means our customers will have the convenience of topping up their grocery shopping as well as filling up.”
