Lincoln mum shortlisted in parent blogging awards

Mummy awards: A Lincoln mum has been shortlisted for two awards due to her hard work as a parenting blogger.

A local mum and blogger has been shortlisted in two national blogging awards.

Emily Leary (29) is shortlisted for BritMums Brilliance in Blogging (Photography) and Loved by Parents Blogger of the Year.

She already has a large audience on her own blog, A Mummy Too, and is a contributor of Tesco Baby Club and editor of Mums on the Blog.

Emily is also a contributor to BT Life, a website from the ISP dedicate to technology and lifestyle.

She said: “I’m stunned to be short listed for these two prestigious awards.

“I have found blogging to be an excellent way to communicate with other parents and while I don’t claim to be an expert, I hope that some of what I write is useful to fellow mums and dads.

“At work I’m a marketing bod, speaker and trainer but blogging has become a real passion, allowing me to share my experiences of raising two children, balancing work and home life, while indulging my creative interests such as photography, crafts and baking.”

She was shortlisted for the Britmums award through a public vote, due to her use of photography and creativity on her blog.

Meanwhile, five blogs, including Emily’s, were shortlisted by judges for the Loved By Parents Blogger of the Year.

They will be decided by a public vote. You can vote for Emily Leary by visiting the website and clicking on “Special awards”.
