New website helps local groups find funding

Helpful website: A new website from the County Council means Lincolnshire community groups can find funding easier.

A new website from Lincolnshire County Council aims to help local community groups source funding to continue running.

The Lincolnshire Funding Portal is free to use for community and voluntary groups, parish and town councils, religious organisations, registered charities, social enterprises and youth groups.

On the website, groups can find out about new grants and developments, support, events, contact details for funders and more, including guidance notes.

Councillor Sue Woolley said: “The new website will really help local groups wishing to find sources of funding.

“Sometimes even a relatively small amount can cover a group’s running costs and help them continue their vital work.

“Or they may need funding for new equipment, improving premises, holding an event, or a whole host of other requirements.

“The website’s information and different sections are clearly laid out, and users can search through hundreds of different sources of funding and grant schemes.

“These include government funding, National Lottery, charitable trusts and many more. They’ll be able to find funds that match what they’re looking for, and are appropriate for their type of organisation.”
