Head-on collision: A Lincoln woman has been involved in a crash on the A157 at West Barkwith on Monday.

A Lincoln woman has been involved in a crash on the A157 at West Barkwith on Monday.

The incident happened at around 5.15pm on November 12, when a silver Kia Picanto collided with a silver Audi TT travelling in the opposite direction.

The driver of the Picanto, a 63 year-old woman from Louth, had to be cut free from her vehicle and was taken to the Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham, suffering from very serious fractures and internal injuries.

The driver of the Audi is a 31 year-old woman from Lincoln, who received treatment for minor injuries.

The road was closed until 11pm.
