Road surface improvements will be made to Cross O’Cliff Hill and Canwick Hill during the February school half term, which will last four days.
This will mean Cross O’Cliff Hill will be closed on February 19 until February 20.
Traffic will divert along Canwick Avenue, Canwick Road, South Park and vice versa.
On Canwick Hill, surface work will take place between 7pm and 7am February 21 and 22. There will be a northbound road closure between South Park Avenue and the junction with Heighington Road for motorists travelling towards the city centre.
Motorists travelling into the city from Heighington will be diverted via Canwick Avenue and Cross O’Cliff Hill.
Motorists from the Washingborough direction have to travel through Heighington and join above diversion.
Senior highways officer Dave Underwood said: “Our top priority is to ensure the county’s roads are in a safe condition for motorists to use.
“We are improving the surface on these two hills when there will be less traffic on the roads to minimise the disruption to motorists.”
