Local company Lindum has been named as the top construction employer in the UK and 6th overall in the Sunday Times Best 100 Companies to Work For list 2013.
Lindum, based on Station Road in North Hykeham, has been listed in top 100 companies in the UK to work for in the past 10 years.
The list is compiled based on research from the largest survey of its kind. This year over 240,000 employees were surveyed from some 900 organisations to create the list.
Malcolm Coxall, site worker for Lindum BMS (Building Maintenance Services), was one of the 19 employees who attended the awards ceremony event at Battersea Events Arena in London last Thursday.
He said: “I’ve worked for Lindum for nearly 20 years now and the reason I have stayed so long is ‘the people’, they’re really friendly and we have a great team here.
“It was great swapping my Lindum sweatshirt for a DJ and bow tie for the awards ceremony in London. Even better to have been in the winning top 6 companies announced on the night by the BBC news presenter Kate Silverton.”
Lindum Group Board Director Simon Gregory added: “It’s always good to be listed in the top 100 companies in the UK, something we have achieved consistently now for 10 years but never take for granted. However, to be named in the top 10 with this year’s 6th place is spectacular.”
