The Stonebow on Lincoln High Street was taped of for police investigations following reports of an assault on Friday evening.
Police were called at just after 8.30pm on May 3, following reports that a man had been assaulted near the Stonebow.
It’s believed that this occurred just after 8pm. A man was on the ground and passers-by called the emergency services.
An ambulance attended and took the man to Lincoln County Hospital. His injuries are not believed to have been serious.
The man was kept in for observations and released from hospital on Saturday.
The injured man did not wish to make a complaint or confirm that an offence had taken place, and therefore police are unable to proceed with an investigation.
