Ritzy night club to close and redevelop

New club, same owners: A popular Lincoln night club will soon close its doors to make way for a new city night spot under owners Luminar.

A popular Lincoln night club will soon close its doors to make way for a new city night spot under owners Luminar.

Ritzy, JJ’s and Pulse on Silver Street will open for the last time this week on June 29, with a special “End of an Era” party on June 28.

After that, the club will be closed for around six weeks while owners Luminar Group transform it into a Moka and Boogies night club.

The makeover – the first in almost 15 years – will create some 30 new jobs in addition to the 60 staff currently at the venue.

This will be the first club in that name under the group’s ownership.

Luminar runs 53 of the largest nightclubs in the UK. Its main brands are Oceana, Liquid and Lava and Ignite, and the company says 11 million people visit its night clubs every year.

Some of the group’s other clubs nearby are in Hull, Peterborough, Nottingham and Leicester.
